2020 Corporate Bowls Wrap Up!
Our final game of corporate bowls with a difference!!!
Due to the rain, we were faced with the decision, cancel or risk it? We decided on the latter and whilst many teams cancelled, we had to wait until 5.30 p.m. to see which teams would turn up.
There were 12 teams and a break in the weather at 6 p.m. allowed the players to commence. Well, that lasted 30 minutes before we had to stop the game. There was so much water on the surface of the greens making them risky to damage.
All in all, the players enjoyed the experience
This year’s competition was excellent, and many players stepped up a level., which was great to see.
The winning teams for the second half of Corporate Bowls were –
1st. Neighbour’s 12 points + 50
2nd. C.B. Board Riders 10 points + 22
3rd. Rivers 8 points + 29
Congratulations to all. This was a very different result to our first half of the competition.
A special congratulations to our 2nd winning team, Board Riders. This was their first year. Well done fellas.
As you are all aware this competition could not function without the support of our sponsors.
